Yeah. I went there.
No worries.
NO ONE IS SAFE!
Don’t think I won’t be making fun of every possible combo
of subculture available.
If you can’t laugh at your self than…thats too bad for you.

Ha! Hilarious!! Keep up the good work, I’m gonna go to school now! (zzzzzzz) Love Ya!
Can’t go into Hot Topic anymore…I whiff of all the pubescent angst and I just start to laugh and laugh…
GOFF
Where is the “lick em and stick em” tattoo isle?
In the retreatest isle, or maybe it’s the every sunday goff isle…somewhere that no one can see it like parents or potential employers. Remember kids if you can’t do it for real than just fucking fake it. No one will ever know.
at least i can tell if you’re into “me”
instead of some idealistic barbie fantasy.
you have an attitude, young lady.
it’s slip knot. with a kay and you’re not my father.
that’s just the starter kit, everyone knows
that shoes make the goth
not the music.
Humor aside (which was the tops, and I like that Amy Whoever has the ability to admit she’s as bad as Britney Spears right on her band’s shirt) this is pretty good social commentary. F yes, what’s the deal with these places like Hot Topic that claim to be about music but are just pushing a brand? Why don’t they get called out on this? Is consumerism appealing to those who have more emotions and pain than me? These troubled youngsters have more in common with Banana Republic than Robert Smith and the people they would like to think they’re emulating.
But I digress. It’s hard to remain composed with your a grizzled geezer on the inside.
Rod Roddy is into Sleep Naught.
Who (whif) stole my Robert Smiff ’scracth and sniff poster’
I found it by the platform version Chuck Taylorz (helmet tip to Seraphine)
Do Raven’s poo black? (Oh, so edgar alien poe)
Quite entertaining, Ratchet! I found the studs on the Nascar hat especially; I can see some kids here doing that. I do go to Hot Topic since they have some stuff that I like, but I like to think I’m not some wangsty adolescent who takes that stuff seriously. (Is it bad that I read and bought “The Crow,” and listen to some Metallica, Slipknot, and Seether? And I actually know a girl who used sewing needle on her ears. I see a stereotype on the horizon…xD) Great work as usual, Ms. Johnson!
@ Ignacio: It’s interesting you brought that up, because the Hot Topic here just added a CD section. Before, that area was lined with belts and other accessories. I just found that a bit amusing. Hot Topic isn’t any different from any other business; they’re going to push any agenda to sell their products, even if they’re actually not truly behind the idea (i.e. “all about the music”). Also, I believe they’re a branch of (or owned by) Abercrombie and Fitch, the epitome of “preppiness.” Irony is amusing.
Lol, cool!!! I’d buy the kit!
i love it, even as a former goth!!! lol but to quote a former teacher “i was goth then it got depressing so i stopped” thanks for this comic!! i freaking love it!!!!!!!!!
i know a guy that has a stud on his hat
we do we all do………im the one creepy old goth though
i love ya
Gothic hot topic kids make my skin peel off my eyeballs and roll under the couch with the dust bunnies.
Good job Ratchet Rachel…or Rachel Ratchet.
