HEY-O!!! This is SWEET!!! Great work, Ratchet!! I love the touches of color…CUUUTE!! Plus, “In The Air Tonight” was definitely Phil Collins’ best work…unless, of course, you wanna count his re-make of Cyndi Lauper’s “True Colors”…that’s just a lovely song.

That’s not Lee driving, is it? *giggle*

  2. Katalac Says:

It’s great! I love it as usual you have done a fantastic job, and I am having the worst issues spelling this morning. Love ya!

  7. Seraphine Says:

Don’t you dare mess with my pj harvey.
    Beautifully drawn comic, Ratchet.
ps. if that happened to me, i’d never
ride with that dude again. ever.

  8. Ratchet Says:

PJ Harvey is one tough chick, I wouldn’t mess with her I tell ya what. Rid of me, I like that album with the Bobby D cover. Nifty. I should do what I was planning to do when I first started this gig, Barista Girl’s dusty old record review….I think I’m gonna! Stay tuned.

  9. Ratchet Says:

Thank you Bella for the vote, apparently I’m kickin butt according to the site admin at http://www.comicofthemonth.com STHOOPER ESSTH ITING!

  10. Clint-o-matic Says:

and when you get on that bus… alot of times you compromise a few other things too. Your soul, your dignity, and your sanity. Monday is car radio day!!! 2008, year of the coffee cake!

  11. disastika Says:

wow i went through all of car radio day without hearing a car radio.

    that’s a pretty nifty comic you’ve got there, ma’am.

hey at least you can nap on the bus!

  12. The Paj Says:

I don’t understand how so many people can listen to the same songs for so long. If I had to listen to Phil Collins (Or any group/artist for that matter) semi-often for twenty years, I’d shoot myself in the face in front of a preschool on some sort of important child-gathering day.

  13. The Wife Says:

@ Paj~It’s cuz some songs are just that great…CLASSICS. Like several of The Beatles songs: Yesterday, Come Together, Get Back, Let It Be, etc…or like Bon Jovi’s Wanted Dead or Alive….or even Come Sail Away by STYX. But in the case of Phil Collins, it’s just that one song…all his other stuff is shit. But think about it…if one of these classics comes on while you’re in your car, don’t ya sometimes just crank up the volume and sing along at the top of your lungs? It’s an ESPECIALLY fun time when you’re with one or more of your friends and/or loved ones! WHOOOOO HOOOOO!!!!

  14. Ratchet Says:

Yeah Paj, come sail away. Kareoke on wednesday BE THERE BE THERE BE THERE!!!!

  15. Monstergummibear Says:

that reminds me of my sister and I….only like….we’re not dating, lol

  16. Katalac Says:

When Paj is alone in his car, he doesn’t sing along to the music cuz he is secretly a robot. He just sits there quitely, and think about masturbating when he gets home and using his tears as lubrication! Ha! Sorry Paj, you’ve never posted from what I’ve seen so I had to give you some shit. I think I just grossed myself out there. Keep up the good work Ratchet!!

  17. The Paj Says:

The Paj has input text into a posting field multiple times, it is just secretive about it. The Paj cannot do karaoke on Wednesdays or anything, for that matter, as it is involved with educational processes and work until 11:00pm. The Paj once again reiterates that it is not a masturbating robot.

I dunno Dawn, no matter how good a song is, it can end up getting old. I’m thinking there’s some sort of advantage economically for radio stations to not play too much new music. Either that or people just like familiar songs to the point where they don’t see a need to search for anything new.

The moral of the story: Friends don’t let friends listen to 102.9.

  18. Ratchet Says:

Oh Paj. Or that 100.3…? For all who are not from around here the stations mentioned here are the crappy ones. Well actually, all of them are crappy. Even the current. Ick. I listen to the cries of monkeys on fire.

  19. R.T. Says:

To an extent, I agree with the Paj… Any song is capable of getting tired… Unless you’re like… Fuckin… Doc Watson or something, but he gets the pity card because he’s blind.

Anyway, one name: Rush… If I hear another fuckin’ Rush song, I’m-a-fuckin-kill.

  20. Ratchet Says:

Oh RT I have troubles with that sir, Rush ROOLZ!! But if one were to compare that stadium band with say Queen, Rush can’t even compare. But from now until eternity “Tom Sawyer” kicks “Come Sail Away” square in the scrote duder. I’m just sayin. And anything from “The Game” “Jazz” “A Day At The Races” or “A Night At The Opera” basically anything from Queen’s catalogue kicks all asses. Man, I’m gonna go listen to Mustapha now.

  21. Katalac Says:

Oh Paj, you know I love ya, and love giving you shit! Ha! I think that there are just some songs that are classics. That’s the way it is, I can never hear too much of “Thriller”!

  22. yer mom~ Says:

    woooooow

    this is cool

    lets listen to queen….!!!!!

you know they get it from the parents!!!

    mwaaaaaaaahahahahahahah!
